Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026.
HomeNest stores account identity, household membership, lists, tasks, repair records, recipes, comments, notification preferences, and purchase entitlement information to provide the service. Household content is visible only to members of that household.
Data use
We use data only to operate, secure, synchronize, and support HomeNest. We do not sell personal data or use household content for advertising.
Apple services
Sign in with Apple provides a stable account identifier and, when shared, an email address. Apple processes subscription payments; HomeNest receives verified transaction identifiers and entitlement status, never payment-card details.
Photos and notifications
Photo access is requested only when you choose an attachment. Notification permission is requested contextually for assignments and reminders.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account in the app. Your profile and sessions are removed, homes you own are closed, and their memberships are deactivated. Shared records may remain attributed to “Deleted User” where necessary to preserve another household member’s data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access controls scope every household request to an active membership.
